Technical Delivery Lead

About Ferocia

We're the team behind Up—but under the hood, we're Ferocia: a passionate tech company driven by innovation and financial empowerment.

In 2011, we cut our teeth crafting the first digital platform for Bendigo Bank. Building on that foundation, we later launched Up in 2018—a reimagined banking experience designed to bring financial freedom to a generation.

By 2021, we officially became part of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group, continuing our work on Up and building innovative financial software for everyone.

Sitting firmly in the sweet spot of a small company rhythm with the impact of a major player, we stay dedicated to empowering those who need it most.

As proud members of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group, we're committed to being carbon neutral, community-focused, and holding ourselves to the highest standards.

We love people who are willing to give it a crack—and even if you’re unsure we’re the right match on paper, throw your hat in the ring anyway. You might just surprise yourself.

The role

As a Delivery Lead at Ferocia (Bendigo Bank’s Digital Division), you will sit within our Delivery function, focusing on optimising the flow of work across cross-functional teams. Your primary mission is to resolve the ambiguity that often arises in complex, cross-divisional pieces of work, ensuring we deliver seamless, end-to-end outcomes.

You will act as the delivery catalyst for our engineering and product teams, removing friction and orchestrating efforts to ensure alignment and momentum. This is a role for a “get it done” practitioner - someone who is passionate about improving the current state and bridging the gap between business requirements, technical feasibility, and a high-quality customer experience across multiple divisions.

What you’ll do
  • Orchestrate Complexity: Navigate and sequence work across multiple workstreams to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Resolve Ambiguity: Act as a facilitator to clear blockers and define paths forward when project requirements or dependencies are unclear.
  • Visual Alignment: Create and maintain clear, visual delivery plans that provide transparency for stakeholders and teams alike.
  • Bridge the Gap: Partner closely with engineers, product managers and various stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable delivery milestones and an excellent customer experience.
  • Adaptive Delivery: Switch seamlessly between “enterprise-grade” structured coordination and “scale-up” agility, tailoring your approach to suit the specific needs of the project.
A typical day might involve…
  • End-to-End Coordination: Managing the journey from scope and design through to build, test, and release - knowing when to lean in and when to let the teams run.
  • Strategic Conduit: Serving as the primary point of contact for specific projects, ensuring solutions align with our technical standards and long-term roadmaps.
  • Stakeholder Navigation: Building relationships across the broader Bendigo Bank ecosystem to optimise speed-to-market and unstick cross-divisional hurdles.
  • Lean Governance: Fostering a culture of transparency and “just enough” documentation to maintain visibility without slowing down the build.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bringing Product, Engineering, and Design together to ensure we ship high-quality features on time.
What skills you bring
  • The Experience: At least 5 years leading complex, end-to-end initiatives. You have a proven track record of navigating the full lifecycle in close partnership with tech and product teams.
  • The Toolkit: You are deeply familiar with Agile and Lean frameworks. You don’t just “follow a process”; you know what good orchestration looks like and how to adapt frameworks to fit the team and the work.
  • Communicator & Alignment-Master: You have a knack for ensuring total alignment on milestones. You are equally comfortable inspiring a team, removing hands-on blockers, or reporting transparently to leadership.
  • Tech-Adjacent Fluency: While you don’t need to be a developer, you are comfortable in a technical environment. A baseline understanding of architecture, integrations, and APIs will help you work successfully across our project range.
  • Decisiveness: You have the ability to make swift, high-impact decisions. You lean on sound judgment to determine the best course of action, keeping momentum high even in high-pressure situations.
  • Strategic Thinking: You connect the dots between daily tasks and the “North Star,” ensuring every deliverable aligns with broader organisational goals.
  • The Mindset: You are highly adaptable and thrive in ambiguity. You take the initiative without waiting for direction, have a desire to challenge the status quo, and possess the self-awareness to seek support when necessary.
Hiring process
  • Phone chat: With one of our recruiters, to find out more about you and answer any questions to have.
  • Case study: In person or online. We’ll work through a scenario to see how you’d approach it.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: In-person or online. You’ll meet different people in our cross-functional team, who’ll bring some questions about working in teams.
  • Values alignment: In-person. How we work and how we show up to work is really important to us, so we’ll talk to you about how you work in teams, deal with conflict, and what you like or need to be effective.
  • Reference checks
  • Offer!
Salary range

The estimated salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000, exclusive of superannuation.
